Somaliland E-Government Discusses Implementation of E-Government System

The 43rd Session of the Somaliland Cabinet, which was chaired by the President of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Muse Bihi Abdi, along with Vice President of Somaliland, Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail (Saylici), was discussed. implementation of the Somaliland E-government system.


The Minister of Communication and Technology, Mr. Abdiweli Sheikh Abdilahi Sufi Jibril presented to the Council of Ministers the implementation of the E-government, a fast and efficient program that transforms all government services into a state-of-the-art electronic system. Government, to keep pace with the technological development of Somaliland, and this program will contribute to economic development, social service delivery, technology utilization, job transparency, job creation management, limiting current government spending on technology, savings and safeguarding the confidentiality of public data and facilitating legal information, and will coordinate with public sector agencies in unifying the ministry of co-operation.


The E-Government implementation program is the first to be implemented in the Republic of Somaliland, reflecting Somaliland's advanced status in the world of modern technology.


The Council of Ministers has decided to put a committee on the implementation of the E-Government, that all public sector institutions have their own ICT (Information Communication Technology), as well as the education curriculum in the country.,  was part of the Kulmiye party's political program, in line with the second national development plan (NDPII).
